- Set a bench to a decline angle and secure your feet on the foot pads.
- Lie back with a single dumbbell held with both hands overhead.
- Extend your arms straight overhead with elbows locked.
- Brace your abs hard.
- Sit up by crunching the abs and lifting your shoulders off the bench.
- Continue until your torso is upright with arms still overhead.
- Maintain straight arms throughout with the dumbbell overhead.
- Lower yourself back down to the starting position with control.
