Description

The decline leg hip raise is a reverse crunch performed on a decline bench. The lifter lies on the decline bench with the head at the high end and grips a support overhead, then curls the hips up by lifting the legs over the body. The decline angle increases the load.

Decline Leg Hip Raise Instructions

  1. Set a decline bench with the head higher than the feet.
  2. Lie on the bench with head at the top.
  3. Grip the support behind the head with both hands.
  4. Brace your core and lift the legs up.
  5. Curl the hips up off the bench by driving the legs back over the body.
  6. Continue until the hips are lifted high.
  7. Squeeze the lower abs at the top.
  8. Lower the hips back down with control.
