The band standing internal shoulder rotation is a rotator cuff drill that uses a resistance band. The lifter anchors the band at the side and rotates the forearm inward across the body. It builds the internal rotators and shoulder stability.

Equipment Required

Band Standing Int Shoulder Rot Instructions

  1. Anchor a resistance band at elbow height.
  2. Stand sideways to the anchor with the working arm closest to the band.
  3. Grip the band handle with the elbow tucked at the side.
  4. Bend the elbow at ninety degrees with the forearm out to the side.
  5. Brace your core and keep the elbow pinned.
  6. Rotate the forearm inward across the body.
  7. Hold briefly at the rotated position.
  8. Return with control. Finish all reps then switch sides.
