  1. Set up a pull up assist machine with a knee pad.
  2. Set the assistance weight to scale the load.
  3. Step onto the knee pad with both knees.
  4. Grip the upper handles with both hands.
  5. Hang from the bar with the knee pad supporting some bodyweight.
  6. Brace your core hard.
  7. Raise the knees up toward the chest by curling the pelvis.
  8. Lower back down with control.
