Suspender Star Plank
Description
The suspender star plank is a side plank variation with the bottom foot hooked into a suspension strap and the top arm and leg extended out in a star shape. The unstable strap and full extended position make for a maximum core stability challenge. It is an advanced oblique and total body stability exercise.
Equipment Required
Suspender Star Plank Instructions
- Adjust suspension straps to about a foot off the floor.
- Place your right foot inside one strap.
- Lie on your right side with body in a straight line.
- Prop yourself up on your right forearm with elbow under shoulder.
- Brace your core hard.
- Lift your hips off the floor into a side plank.
- Extend your left arm straight up toward the ceiling.
- Lift your left leg up to form a star shape. Hold the position. Switch sides.
