Description
The supported headstand yoga pose, or Sirsasana, is an advanced inversion. With the forearms on the floor and the crown of the head between the hands, the body balances upside down to build full body strength.
Equipment Required

- Kneel on the floor and clasp the hands together.
- Place the forearms on the floor with the elbows shoulder width apart.
- Set the crown of the head on the floor with the hands cupping the back of the head.
- Walk the feet toward the head until the hips stack over the shoulders.
- Brace the core and lift one knee up at a time.
- Slowly extend the legs straight up toward the ceiling.
- Stack the feet over the hips and shoulders in a long line.
- Hold the pose for the desired duration then come down with control.
