Description
The split sprinter low lunge is a low lunge stretch with the back leg long and the hands resting on the floor in a sprinter style stance. The deep position opens the hip flexors and stretches the back leg quad. It is a key part of the runner mobility flow.

Split Sprinter Low Lunge Instructions
- Step one foot forward into a long split lunge stance.
- Set the front foot flat with knee tracking the toe.
- Lower the back knee toward the floor with the leg long.
- Place both hands on the floor on either side of the front foot.
- Drop the hips low into the lunge.
- Feel a deep stretch in the back leg hip flexor and quad.
- Hold the position and breathe slowly.
- Switch sides and repeat with the opposite leg forward.
