Description
The roll ball upper trapezius release is a self myofascial release drill for the top of the shoulder. Pressing a ball into the upper trap releases tightness from desk work and stress that contributes to neck pain.
Equipment Required
Roll Ball Upper Trapezius Release Instructions
- Stand with the back to a wall.
- Place a massage ball between the upper trap and the wall.
- Brace the core and keep the body tall.
- Press into the ball with controlled pressure.
- Tip the head gently away from the ball to deepen pressure.
- Roll slowly across the trap area.
- Pause on tender spots for several breaths.
- Continue for the working time then switch sides.
