The lever reverse grip vertical row is performed on a vertical chest-supported row machine with the palms facing up in an underhand grip. The reverse grip biases the lower lats and biceps over the upper back. It is a strong row variation for arm and lat detail.

Lever Reverse Grip Vertical Row Instructions

  1. Set up the vertical row machine with chest pad and foot platform in place.
  2. Stand with chest against the pad and feet on the platform.
  3. Grip the handles with palms facing up.
  4. Let your arms hang straight down with shoulder blades retracted.
  5. Brace your core and pin your chest to the pad.
  6. Row the handles up toward your sides.
  7. Squeeze the lats and biceps at the top of the row.
  8. Lower with control until arms are straight again.
