Description

The kneeling cobra push-up performs a kneeling push-up that finishes with the hips lowering to the floor and the chest lifting up into a cobra back extension. The combo trains the chest, the spinal erectors, and overall mobility. It is a beginner-friendly hybrid move.

Kneeling Cobra Push-Up Instructions

  1. Get into a kneeling push-up position with knees on the floor.
  2. Place your hands under your shoulders.
  3. Brace your core and keep your body in a straight line from head to knees.
  4. Bend your elbows to lower your chest toward the floor.
  5. Press back up to the top of the push-up.
  6. Lower your hips to the floor and arch your upper back.
  7. Lift your chest up off the floor in a cobra position.
  8. Lower the chest back down and return to the push-up start.
