Description

The front plank side hop is a dynamic plank variation that adds a side-to-side hop. The lifter holds a high plank and hops the feet together side to side. The hop loads the obliques and adds a cardio component to the standard plank.

Front Plank Side Hop Instructions

  1. Begin in a high plank position with hands under the shoulders.
  2. Set the body in a straight line from head to heels.
  3. Brace your core hard and keep the hips level.
  4. Hop both feet to one side together.
  5. Land softly with the feet still together.
  6. Hop both feet back through center to the other side.
  7. Continue the side-to-side hopping motion at speed.
  8. Keep the upper body steady throughout.
