Description

The feet and ankles stretch is a basic foot and ankle mobility move. The lifter sits and rotates the ankles in circles, then points and flexes the toes through full range. The motion mobilizes the ankle joints and stretches the muscles around the foot.

Feet and Ankles Stretch Instructions

  1. Sit on the floor with the legs extended in front.
  2. Brace your core and keep the spine tall.
  3. Lift one foot slightly off the floor.
  4. Rotate the ankle in a slow circle in one direction.
  5. Continue full range circles for several repetitions.
  6. Reverse direction and circle the other way.
  7. Point the toes forward then flex them back to the shin.
  8. Repeat the full sequence with the other foot.
