  1. Stand tall holding a dumbbell in one hand at shoulder level.
  2. Set the palm facing in with the dumbbell parallel to the body.
  3. Plant your feet at shoulder-width and brace your core.
  4. Press the dumbbell straight up overhead.
  5. Keep the palm facing in throughout the press.
  6. Lock out at the top with the dumbbell over your shoulder.
  7. Resist any side lean from the load.
  8. Lower the dumbbell back to shoulder level. Complete reps and switch.
