Description

The cable single arm high scapular row is performed with a single D-handle on a high cable, rowing back with the elbow flared up at shoulder height. The high pull angle targets the rhomboids, rear delts, and upper traps. It is excellent for back detail and posture.

Cable Single Arm High Scapular Row Instructions

  1. Set a cable to a high position with a single D-handle.
  2. Stand facing the cable and grab the handle with one hand.
  3. Step back to add tension to the cable.
  4. Brace your core and keep your chest up.
  5. Pull the handle back toward your shoulder with the elbow flared up.
  6. Lead with the elbow up and out to the side at shoulder height.
  7. Squeeze the rhomboid and rear delt at the end of the rep.
  8. Return slowly to the start. Complete reps on one side before switching.
