Description

The single arm side straight arm lat pulldown is a unilateral lat isolation drill. Standing sideways to a high cable and pulling the handle down with a straight arm in a slight arc isolates the lat one side at a time.

Single Arm Side Straight Arm Lat Pulldown Instructions

  1. Set a cable handle at high height.
  2. Stand sideways to the cable with the working arm closer.
  3. Grab the handle with a slight elbow bend.
  4. Step back to set tension and stand tall.
  5. Brace the core and keep the chest up.
  6. Pull the handle down across the body to the hip.
  7. Squeeze the lat hard at the bottom.
  8. Return with control and continue for all reps then switch.
