Description

The side push up with towel is a sliding archer push up using a towel under one hand. The lifter performs a push up and slides one hand out wide on a towel as the body lowers. The slide creates a brutal one side dominant push up that loads the chest harder.

Side Push Up with Towel Instructions

  1. Place a small towel under one hand on a smooth floor.
  2. Begin in a high plank position with hands under shoulders.
  3. Brace your core and keep the body in a straight line.
  4. Lower the body by bending the non towel arm.
  5. At the same time slide the towel hand out wide to the side.
  6. Continue until the chest reaches the bent elbow side.
  7. Press back up using the bent arm and slide the towel hand back.
  8. Switch sides between sets.
