Description
The side push up with towel is a sliding archer push up using a towel under one hand. The lifter performs a push up and slides one hand out wide on a towel as the body lowers. The slide creates a brutal one side dominant push up that loads the chest harder.
Equipment Required
Side Push Up with Towel Instructions
- Place a small towel under one hand on a smooth floor.
- Begin in a high plank position with hands under shoulders.
- Brace your core and keep the body in a straight line.
- Lower the body by bending the non towel arm.
- At the same time slide the towel hand out wide to the side.
- Continue until the chest reaches the bent elbow side.
- Press back up using the bent arm and slide the towel hand back.
- Switch sides between sets.
