Description
The roll ball scapula levator is a self myofascial release drill for the muscle connecting the neck to the shoulder blade. Pressing a ball into the levator scapulae releases tightness that contributes to neck pain and headaches.
Equipment Required
Roll Ball Scapula Levator Instructions
- Stand with the back to a wall.
- Place a massage ball between the upper inner shoulder blade and the wall.
- Brace the core and keep the body tall.
- Press into the ball with controlled pressure.
- Roll slowly across the levator area.
- Pause on tender spots for several breaths.
- Tip the head gently to find the muscle.
- Continue for the working time then switch sides.
