The ring alternate superman is an advanced ring push-up variation that adds a single-arm reach forward. From a ring push-up plank position the lifter reaches one ring forward into a long superman extension. The move builds extreme chest, shoulder, and core strength.

Ring Alternate Superman Instructions

  1. Set up gymnastic rings at a low height.
  2. Grip the rings and step the feet back to a plank.
  3. Brace your core hard and keep the body in a straight line.
  4. Reach one ring forward and out into a long arm extension.
  5. Hold the superman reach briefly.
  6. Pull the ring back to the start.
  7. Reach the other ring forward to repeat.
  8. Continue alternating reaches with control.
