Description

The lying shoulder sweep is a shoulder mobility drill performed on the back. The lifter sweeps the arms along the floor from the sides up overhead and back down in a snow angel motion. The move opens the shoulders and chest. It is a key mobility warm-up.

Lying Shoulder Sweep Instructions

  1. Lie flat on your back on the floor.
  2. Extend the arms straight out to the sides on the floor.
  3. Set the palms facing up.
  4. Brace your core lightly.
  5. Sweep both arms along the floor up overhead.
  6. Reach the hands together overhead.
  7. Sweep the arms back down to the sides along the floor.
  8. Continue the smooth sweeping motion.
