Description
The kneeling modified hindu push up is a regression of the hindu push up performed from the knees. The lifter dives the chest down and forward in a flowing arc, then presses up. The knees down position scales the load for beginners.
Equipment Required
Kneeling Modified Hindu Push Up Instructions
- Begin on hands and knees with hands wider than shoulders.
- Push the hips up high into a kneeling pike position.
- Bend the elbows and dive the chest forward and down.
- Sweep the chest close to the floor as you flow forward.
- Continue forward as the chest rises toward an upward dog.
- Lock out the arms with the chest up and hips low.
- Press back through the flow to the start.
- Continue the flowing push up motion.
