Description

The kneeling modified hindu push up is a regression of the hindu push up performed from the knees. The lifter dives the chest down and forward in a flowing arc, then presses up. The knees down position scales the load for beginners.

Kneeling Modified Hindu Push Up Instructions

  1. Begin on hands and knees with hands wider than shoulders.
  2. Push the hips up high into a kneeling pike position.
  3. Bend the elbows and dive the chest forward and down.
  4. Sweep the chest close to the floor as you flow forward.
  5. Continue forward as the chest rises toward an upward dog.
  6. Lock out the arms with the chest up and hips low.
  7. Press back through the flow to the start.
  8. Continue the flowing push up motion.
