  1. Sit on the floor with knees bent and feet flat.
  2. Hold the back of the thighs and lean back slightly.
  3. Lift the feet off the floor with the shins parallel to the floor.
  4. Keep the chest tall and the back straight.
  5. Release the hands and reach the arms forward parallel to the floor.
  6. Brace the core and balance on the hips.
  7. Hold the half boat position breathing steadily.
  8. Lower the feet to release.
