Description
The dumbbell seated front and back tate press is a hybrid arm builder. The lifter sits on a bench and performs a tate press in front of the chest then a press behind the head. The two-angle approach hammers the triceps from both the short and long head positions.
Equipment Required
Dumbbell Seated Front and Back Tate Press Instructions
- Sit on a bench with a dumbbell in each hand.
- Press the dumbbells overhead to lockout.
- Lower the dumbbells in a tate press path with palms facing each other.
- Bring the inside of the dumbbells down to touch the chest.
- Press back up to lockout above the head.
- Lower the dumbbells back behind the head bending the elbows.
- Press back up to lockout again.
- Continue alternating the front tate and back press patterns.
