The cable triceps pushdown on floor is a kneeling pushdown variation. The lifter kneels under a high cable and pushes the attachment all the way down to the floor in front. The kneeling angle and floor finish position add a strong squeeze at lockout.

Cable Triceps Pushdown on Floor Instructions

  1. Set a cable to a high position with a straight or rope attachment.
  2. Kneel directly under the cable on both knees.
  3. Grip the attachment with both hands.
  4. Set the elbows tight against the sides.
  5. Brace your core and keep the chest tall.
  6. Push the attachment straight down to the floor.
  7. Squeeze the triceps hard at full lockout.
  8. Allow the elbows to bend back to the start with control.
