Cable Seated Leg Extension
Description
The cable seated leg extension is performed seated with an ankle attachment from a low cable pulley. By extending the knee against cable resistance, you isolate the quadriceps with constant tension throughout the range. It is a useful alternative to the standard leg extension machine.

Cable Seated Leg Extension Instructions
- Attach an ankle cuff to a low cable pulley.
- Sit on a bench facing away from the pulley with the cuff on your right ankle.
- Position the bench so the cable runs along the side of the bench.
- Sit tall with chest up and grip the bench for stability.
- Brace your core and extend your right knee fully.
- Lift your shin until your leg is straight and parallel to the floor.
- Squeeze your quad hard at the top of the extension.
- Lower the leg back down with control. Complete reps, then switch legs.
