Description
The cable glute dominant step up uses a low cable attached to a belt or held in front of the body during a step up. The forward lean and cable resistance shift emphasis to the glutes and hamstrings instead of the quads. It is a great loaded glute builder.

Cable Glute Dominant Step Up Instructions
- Attach a low cable to a belt around your waist (or hold a handle at your chest).
- Stand facing away from the cable in front of a sturdy box.
- Step forward to add tension to the cable.
- Place one foot fully on the box.
- Lean your torso forward over the working leg.
- Drive through the heel of the working foot to step up onto the box.
- Squeeze the glute hard at the top.
- Step back down with control. Complete reps on one side before switching.
