Description

The cable decline one arm press uses a single high cable handle pressed forward and down at a decline angle. The single-arm loading creates rotational force the core must resist while the decline angle hits the lower pec. It is a strong unilateral lower chest variation.

Cable Decline One Arm Press Instructions

  1. Set a cable to a high pulley with a single handle.
  2. Stand facing away from the cable station with feet shoulder-width apart.
  3. Grip the handle with your right hand at chest level.
  4. Step forward to create cable tension with the handle behind you.
  5. Brace your core hard against the asymmetric load.
  6. Press the handle forward and down at a decline angle until your arm is extended.
  7. Resist any rotation in your trunk.
  8. Bring the handle back to chest level with control. Switch sides.
