Description
The walking high knees lunge alternates a forward walking lunge with a high knee drive on the same leg. After lunging forward and standing up, the trailing knee drives high before the next lunge step. The combination warms up the legs and trains hip flexor strength.

Walking High Knees Lunge Instructions
- Stand tall with feet hip-width apart in a clear path.
- Brace your core and keep your chest up.
- Step forward with your right leg into a long lunge.
- Lower until the back knee nearly touches the floor.
- Drive through the front heel to stand up.
- As you stand up drive the trailing left knee high in front of you.
- Plant the left foot forward into the next lunge.
- Continue alternating lunge and high knee drive each step.
