- Stand on one leg with a slight bend in the knee.
- Cross the opposite ankle over the standing thigh just above the knee.
- Flex the foot of the crossed leg.
- Brace the core for balance.
- Sit back into the standing leg as if into a small squat.
- Hinge slightly forward at the hips.
- Feel the stretch in the outer hip of the crossed leg.
- Hold the stretch for the desired duration then switch sides.
