Standing Balance Outer Hip Stretch Instructions

  1. Stand on one leg with a slight bend in the knee.
  2. Cross the opposite ankle over the standing thigh just above the knee.
  3. Flex the foot of the crossed leg.
  4. Brace the core for balance.
  5. Sit back into the standing leg as if into a small squat.
  6. Hinge slightly forward at the hips.
  7. Feel the stretch in the outer hip of the crossed leg.
  8. Hold the stretch for the desired duration then switch sides.
