Jump Box Over

Description

The jump box over is a plyometric drill where the lifter jumps laterally over a box. From a side stance the athlete jumps up onto the box and continues down the other side in one motion. The drill builds explosive power and conditioning.

Equipment Required

Jump Box Over Instructions

  1. Stand to the side of a sturdy box.
  2. Set the feet shoulder-width apart.
  3. Bend the knees and load the hips.
  4. Swing the arms back and explode up and over the box.
  5. Land softly on top of the box on both feet.
  6. Continue down the other side with a soft landing.
  7. Reset and jump back over to the starting side.
  8. Continue jumping over the box back and forth.
