The EZ bar seated close grip shoulder press is a seated overhead press done with a close grip on an EZ curl bar. The narrow grip shifts focus to the triceps while still loading the shoulders. It is a strong shoulder and tricep combo move.

EZ Bar Seated CG Shoulder Press Instructions

  1. Sit upright on a bench with back support.
  2. Hold an EZ curl bar with a close grip at chest height.
  3. Brace your core and keep the back against the support.
  4. Press the bar straight up overhead.
  5. Lock out the elbows at the top.
  6. Squeeze the shoulders and triceps hard.
  7. Lower the bar with control to the chest.
  8. Continue for the working set.
