Description

The crunchy frog is a Pilates style core move popularized in P90X. The lifter balances on the tailbone with arms and legs extended, then folds the body into a tight ball with bent knees. The open-and-close pattern hammers the abs and hip flexors hard.

Crunchy Frog on Floor Instructions

  1. Sit on the floor balanced on the tailbone with knees bent.
  2. Lean back slightly with the arms extended out to the sides.
  3. Brace your core hard.
  4. Extend the legs straight out and lean back at the same time.
  5. Open the arms wide as the legs extend.
  6. Pull the knees back into the chest while wrapping the arms around the shins.
  7. Squeeze the abs hard in the tucked position.
  8. Continue the open and close motion with control.
