Child to Cobra Pose

Description

The child to cobra pose is a yoga flow that transitions from childs pose to cobra pose. The lifter starts in childs pose with hips back on heels, then slides forward and lifts the chest into cobra. The flow stretches the back and opens the chest.

Child to Cobra Pose Instructions

  1. Begin on hands and knees with hands under shoulders.
  2. Sit the hips back on the heels into childs pose.
  3. Lower the forehead to the floor and reach the arms forward.
  4. Rest in childs pose briefly.
  5. Slide the body forward through plank.
  6. As the hips reach the floor lift the chest up into cobra.
  7. Press the chest up high and arch the upper back gently.
  8. Hold cobra briefly. Reverse the flow back to childs pose.
