Description
The cable donkey diagonal kickback combines the donkey kick with a diagonal kicking pattern, driving the leg back and slightly out to the side. The diagonal angle hits the gluteus maximus and medius simultaneously. It is a great accessory move for sculpting the entire glute complex.

Cable Donkey Diagonal Kickback Instructions
- Attach an ankle strap to the low cable pulley and to one ankle.
- Get on all fours facing the cable machine.
- Position your hands under your shoulders and knees under your hips.
- Brace your core to keep a flat back.
- Drive the working leg back and out at a 45-degree angle.
- Squeeze the glute hard at the top of the kick.
- Pause briefly at full extension.
- Return slowly to the start. Complete reps on one side before switching.
