Description
The band warm up shoulder stretch is a dynamic shoulder mobility move using a resistance band. The lifter grips the band wide with both hands and pulls it apart while circling it over the head from front to back. It is a useful warm-up for pressing and overhead work.
Equipment Required
Band Warm Up Shoulder Stretch Instructions
- Stand tall holding a light resistance band with a wide grip.
- Set the arms straight in front at chest height.
- Pull the band apart to take tension.
- Keep the arms straight as you lift the band overhead.
- Continue the arc back behind the head.
- Lower the band behind the back to hip level.
- Reverse the path to bring the band back to the front.
- Continue the slow circling motion for the duration.
