Description
The band assisted sprinter run is an overspeed training drill where a band or rope is attached around the waist of the runner and pulled forward by a partner. The forward pull forces the runner to move faster than their normal top speed for nervous system training.

- Attach a long resistance band or rope around your waist.
- Have a partner hold the other end and stand several yards in front of you.
- Get in a sprint start position.
- Brace your core and lean forward slightly.
- On the go signal, sprint forward as the partner pulls the band.
- Let the band pull help you reach a faster top speed.
- Maintain good sprint mechanics throughout.
- Decelerate at the end of the run and walk back.
