Alternating Step Out
Description
The alternating step out is a side-stepping bodyweight move where the lifter steps one foot out wide to the side and lowers into a lateral lunge then steps back to the start. The pattern alternates sides for a strong lateral hip and glute builder.

Alternating Step Out Instructions
- Stand tall with feet together and arms at your sides.
- Brace your core and keep your chest up.
- Step one foot out wide to the side.
- Bend the knee on the stepping leg into a lateral lunge.
- Keep the trail leg straight with the foot flat on the floor.
- Push back through the working leg heel to return to the start.
- Bring the foot back to the standing position.
- Alternate sides each rep.
