Flexion and Extension Hip Stretch
Description
The flexion and extension hip stretch is a mobility drill that takes the hip through both flexion and extension. The mover alternates between pulling the knee toward the chest and extending the leg back. It is useful for hip mobility before training.

Hip Flex Ext Stretch Instructions
- Stand tall with the feet hip width apart.
- Brace your core and keep the chest up.
- Lift one knee up toward the chest for hip flexion.
- Hold briefly at the top.
- Lower the leg and swing it back behind you for extension.
- Squeeze the glute at the back position.
- Return to start and repeat the pattern.
- Finish all reps then switch sides.
