Cable Judo Flip
Description
The cable judo flip is a rotational core exercise where you grip a high cable with both hands and pull it diagonally across your body in a motion that simulates a judo throw or wood chop. It builds explosive rotational power, oblique strength, and shoulder stability.
Equipment Required
Cable Judo Flip Instructions
- Set a cable pulley to a high position. Attach a rope or single handle.
- Stand sideways to the cable with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Grip the handle with both hands. Start with arms extended above your head toward the cable.
- Pull the cable diagonally across your body from high to low — like a judo throw.
- Rotate your torso, drive through your hips, and finish with the handle near your opposite knee.
- Control the cable back to the starting position over two seconds.
- Complete reps on one side, then switch sides.
- Use moderate weight. Aim for 10 to 12 reps per side.
