  1. Set a bench to about a 30 degree incline.
  2. Lie face down (chest on the bench) with a barbell on the floor.
  3. Reach down and grip the bar with palms facing up (underhand grip).
  4. Position your hands shoulder-width apart.
  5. Allow the bar to hang at full arm extension.
  6. Brace your core.
  7. Pull the bar up to your stomach by driving the elbows back along your sides.
  8. Squeeze the lats hard, then lower with control.
