The bodyweight wood chop squat combines a squat with a diagonal wood chop motion. As you stand up from the squat, you sweep the arms diagonally across the body in a wood chop motion. The combination builds leg strength while training rotational core power, all without equipment.

- Stand tall with feet shoulder-width apart.
- Clasp your hands together in front of your chest.
- Brace your core and pull your shoulders back.
- Lower into a squat by sitting your hips back.
- As you squat, bring your hands toward the outside of your right foot.
- Drive up through your heels to standing.
- As you stand, sweep your arms diagonally up across your body.
- Finish with arms reaching up and to the left. Alternate sides each rep.
